Title of Paper : “The Metaxas Line”: A wise choice or a costly mistake?
Georgios Polychrous is a graduate of the School of History and Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed his postgraduate studies in Modern and Contemporary History at the same department. His M.A. thesis was about the defense planning and war preparation of the 4th of August regime (1936-1940). He is a member of the Hellenic Historical Society (H.H.S.), an external partner of the Institute for Balkan Studies and a scientific partner of the Social Cooperative Enterprise “Agkistro Action”. He is also the coordinator of the Historical Research and Documentation Team of the corporation “Stenopos: Fortifications of Belles and Agkistro”. He has worked in the Historical Archive of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a postgraduate scholar.
